zest - tea product shoot

Everybody wants a POP of color! And for Zest Tea, it was priority numero uno.

For Zest Tea’s photoshoot we focused on their plant-powered energy sparkling tea line, and the goal was to create fresh product images for a few new flavors that they were rolling out (check the first stop-motion to see what I did there). The Zest team’s words of encouragement (aka, the priorities): color pop, bold, fun.

To round out the photoshoot, the team at Zest Tea wanted to add in some colorful ingredients to communicate the natural fruit flavors, and add a bit of a lifestyle feel with a faux kitchen set up.

And of course, since a little bit of motion is such a fun addition to any photoshoot, we couldn’t help but add in a couple stop-motion videos.

Now, getting a first glance at the stop-motions we created, you might be thinking, “where’s the ‘color pop’?” Well, keep scrolling my friends…

These colors are bright, and bold, and very specific to Zest Tea.

Utilizing brand colors is such a great way to foster recognition, and construct a cohesive message for a brand’s target audience, so I always encourage it when fleshing out details of a photoshoot with a brand. When working with a brand’s colors, I usually like to order custom backdrops, but sometimes that’s not an option. For Zest Tea’s shoot, it was the latter.

Enter Photoshop.

To some, it may seem like magic, and, honestly, I support that belief. Most days, I feel like a witch (the good kind) waving my Magic Wand to create brilliantly colored images from nothing but a glycerin-sprayed product ever-so-carefully balanced on a white background. And really, who can dispute the magic in that?
